The challenge: The Training Department of the SEIU came to me looking for help in coming up with a strategy and a roadmap for an online learning platform to train employees and members all over the country.
The solution: After extensive research of organizational requirements, member needs, and the landscape of online learning tools, I put together a strategic roadmap for the SEIU to assist them in defining what they needed. The roadmap helped them to determine requirements, including platform, content, and recommended site architecture; clarify next steps; budget for the project; and hire an agency to build the platform.

Communications & Marketing
Created award-winning, multi-platform communications and marketing campaigns and creative collateral for nonprofits, foundations, government agencies, and other mission-driven organizations. Here are some examples of the projects and campaigns I worked on.
Served as an extension of the OSI-Baltimore communications team, providing strategic advice, writing, content, website, video production, and design support to expand OSI’s impact and amplify its grantees’ voices.
Created a multilayered strategic communications plan to convey info about maternal warning signs through powerful messages and products for MDMOM, a joint program of Johns Hopkins University and the University of Maryland Medical Center.
To support 988’s launch in Maryland and continue raising awareness, we worked with the Maryland Department of Health and the Maryland State Ad Agency to develop messaging and creative materials that would resonate with diverse audiences across the state.
Created a 5-year strategic plan, creative collateral, and a video for Afya Baltimore Inc. (ABI) , a group of charter schools in Baltimore, to showcase what makes their public charter schools unique. The video won a "Best in Maryland" award from PRSA Maryland in the video category.
Across two campaigns for the Anne Arundel County Department of Public Health, developed multi-faceted ad strategies focused on outreach materials, programmatic and Facebook ad campaigns, digital media, PSAs, motion graphic videos and streaming radio.
Developed a communications and outreach campaign for the American Heart Association aimed at persuading policymakers, engaging media, and mobilizing advocates to support egislation to end the sale of all flavored tobacco products in Maryland.
Developed a new “Here2Help Hotline” name; a new “24/7 access to confidential advice and emotional support” tagline; and new marketing messages for Behavioral Health Systems Baltimore (BHSB).
