The challenge: The National Park Service needed a content strategy and design templates for both its internet and intranet sites, to provide guidelines for people across the organization to create sites that were unique to their divisions but also adhered to a unified look and feel and navigational structure.

The solution: As a content strategist at Threespot, I developed the content strategy and a templated content navigation structure for both the National Park Service’s internet and intranet sites. The design process began with extensive stakeholder interviews of employees of multiple divisions of the Park Service, who provided us with insights and feedback to create the sites. The organization-wide templates that I created made it easy for varied Park Service departments to create their own sites while also maintaining a unified look and feel.
